There are various categories of membership as shown below. The types of repair undertaken by those other than specialist associate and supplier are shown in the ‘find a member’ guidance notes whereby motorists can determine the type of repair most suited to the damage their vehicle has suffered.

Please also see the notes on grading. Not all members undertake all types of work. Some specialise in ‘structural’ repairs whilst others concentrate only on cosmetic work or restoration. Many of these repairers also provide smart or rapid (same day) repair facilities. Some repairers also undertake motorcycle repairs and motor home/caravan repairs

Smart Repair

The term Smart embraces a huge variation in services. The key aspect here is their concentration on small areas of work only. Some operate on a mobile basis from vans or demountable workshops whilst others operate from fixed workshop facilities. Within their scope some may undertake motorcycle and motor home/caravan repairs

Vehicle Body Building

Bespoke or mass production, as you need it. Most include a design service. This sector covers small vans through to large commercials, tippers, box and curtain-siders, trailers from goods to vending. You name it, it’s available, new, refurb’ or modification.

Commercial Vehicle Body Repair

What it says in the title. If it’s damaged or needs renovation or modification these members can provide the service you seek. Some repairers also undertake Smart repairs (to CVs) and motor home/caravan repairs

Supply and fit specialists such as trimmers, refrigeration engineers, windscreen replacement, tyre and exhaust services

A wide range of supplier members able to provide a host of services and products to the sectors we represent. All supplier members agree to operate ethically towards members and many provide exclusive products, services or pricing structures.
